Talc

White matt mineral talc (magnesium hydrogen silicate), chemical composition [Mg3(OH)2(Si2O5)2], is a phyllosilicate with a Mohs hardness of 1.
Talc has many applications, such as: pulp, paint, dyes, rubber, plastics and ceramic industry fillers, talc can even be used in the pharmaceutical industry. For example, it is used as a release agent for basic powders or pharmaceutical tableting. The high temperature resistance of talc makes it an important component in refractory materials, such as ceramics. In addition, talc can also be used as an electrical insulating material, a release agent in food technology, and a carrier for dyes.
